What is Sports Therapy?

Sports Therapy is concerned with musculoskeletal conditions arising from sporting activity. It focuses on preventing sports injuries and dealing with the effects of physical trauma due to sports injuries.

Sports Therapists give advice to athletes on how to train and compete safely, as well as treat injuries and assist with rehabilitation. Their aim is to help those who are injured return to full fitness.

Treatment can also be applied with injuries sustained in a non-sporting context, such as bad posture or trips and falls at home or at the work place, or even help relieve aches and pains after a hard days work.
